This Needless Frame.

Where the souls of fruits and flowers
On the roses will thither fly.
Thou in fragrant clouds shalt show
the rest is all but earth disguised.
Try what depths this centre draws
shall within our beauty meet,
trembling lest it grow impure
and warms and moves this needless frame.

The "Warnings" below are from the blog, http://faffajane.blog.co.uk/

"Do not use orally." -- On a toilet bowl cleaning brush.

"Caution: Remove infant before folding for storage." -- On a portable stroller.

"Do not attempt to stop the blade with your hand." -- In the manual for a Swedish chainsaw.

There are lots more and are worth a look, it's a good blog site.

Things happen.

Well, the rain has arrived at last, first of the wet stuff for about three weeks, yep, the garden does need it but I was quite happy to have the blazing sun during the day and walk around with my watering can in the evening, the problem was that it brought the wind.

Two lovely Silver Birch trees, that I planted from seedlings many years ago, are in my garden, both about 50 foot high, well, one is now only about 25 foot high.

Sad, but things happen, and it caused no damage, except, a beautiful climbing clematis that has for many years ambled around the branches, has broken in half, that's sad.

A Fairy Story, for 3-5 year olds. Granny Potts.

GRANNY POTTS AND THE BIRDS.

A NOT QUITE TRUE STORY.

OLD GRANNY POTTS LIVED WITH HER PARROT, CALLED POLLY, IN A NICE LITTLE HOUSE.
EVERY MORNING, GRANNY POTTS WOULD BREAK UP SOME BREAD AND TAKE IT OUT TO THE BIRD TABLE.
GRANNY POTTS WOULD THEN GO BACK IN TO HER HOUSE AND, WHILE SITTING IN HER ROCKING CHAIR, WATCH THE BIRDS THROUGH HER WINDOW.

GRANNY POTTS LOVED THE BIRDS AND LIKED TO SEE THEM PECKING AT THE BREAD.
THE BIRDS LOVED GRANNY POTTS, THEY WOULD SIT IN THE BRANCHES OF THE TREE AND WATCH GRANNY POTTS PUTTING THE BREAD OUT FOR THEM, AND THEN, SWOOP DOWN TO THE BIRD TABLE TO EAT THEIR BREAKFAST.

GRANNY POTTS WOULD FEED THE BIRDS EVERY DAY, BUT, ONE MORNING, AFTER SHE HAD FED THEM, AND, AS SHE WAS BACK INSIDE HER HOUSE, GRANNY TRIPPED OVER THE MAT AND FELL TO THE FLOOR.

GRANNY HAD A LOT OF PAIN, SHE HAD HURT HER LEG AND COULD NOT GET UP OFF OF THE FLOOR. GRANNY WAS ALONE, THERE WAS NO ONE THERE TO HELP HER.

THE NEXT MORNING, THE BIRDS WERE SITTING IN THE TREE WAITING FOR GRANNY TO COME OUT WITH THEIR BREAKFAST, BUT, GRANNY DID NOT COME OUT WITH THE BREAD.
THE ROBIN SAID TO THE SPARROW, "WHERE IS GRANNY TODAY?".
"I DON'T KNOW", SAID THE SPARROW, "WILL YOU FLY DOWN AND LOOK IN HER WINDOW ROBIN".

ROBIN FLEW DOWN FROM THE TREE TO LOOK IN TO THE WINDOW OF GRANNY POTTS HOUSE AND SAW POOR GRANNY LYING ON THE FLOOR.

ROBIN FLEW BACK TO THE TREE AND TOLD ALL THE OTHER BIRDS, "WE HAVE GOT TO DO SOMETHING TO HELP GRANNY" HE SAID.
STARLING SAID, "ONE OF US WILL HAVE TO GO INTO THE HOUSE TO SEE IF WE CAN HELP HER".
ROBIN SAID THAT HE WOULD TRY, BUT, ALL THE WINDOWS WERE CLOSED, "HOW WILL I GET IN?".

ROBIN WAS VERY BRAVE SO HE SAID THAT HE WOULD FLY DOWN THE CHIMNEY.
ROBIN LANDED IN A CLOUD OF SOOT IN GRANNY'S LIVING ROOM AND HE HOPPED ACROSS THE FLOOR TO LOOK AT GRANNY.
GRANNY WAS VERY COLD AND ROBIN KNEW THAT HE HAD TO DO SOMETHING VERY QUICKLY. HE FLEW BACK UP THE CHIMNEY TO THE OTHER BIRDS IN THE TREE. ROBIN HAD A PLAN.

WITH ROBIN LEADING, ALL THE BIRDS FLEW UP TO THE ROOF, AND, ONE AT A TIME, FLEW DOWN GRANNY POTTS CHIMNEY.

THE BIRDS FOUND A LARGE BLANKET AND EACH OF THE BIRDS HELD A PART IN THEIR BEAKS, BY FLAPPING THEIR WINGS AT THE SAME TIME THEY WERE ABLE TO LIFT THE BLANKET AND COVER GRANNY UP.

GRANNY POTTS WAS NOW NICE AND WARM.

ROBIN SAID TO THE BIRDS, "WE MUST CALL AND GET AN AMBULANCE FOR GRANNY". "HOW CAN WE DO THAT?", SAID STARLING.

ROBIN HAD ANOTHER PLAN, HE TOLD POLLY THE PARROT WHAT HE HAD TO DO.
"POLLY, WITH YOUR STRONG CLAWS LIFT UP THE TELEPHONE, WITH YOUR STRONG BEAK PRESS NUMBER NINE THREE TIMES, AND WITH YOUR STRONG VOICE SHOUT, HELP, AS LOUD AS YOU CAN".

VERY SOON THE AMBULANCE CAME AND GRANNY POTTS WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.

THE DOCTOR SAID, "IT WAS VERY CLEVER OF THE BIRDS TO LOOK AFTER YOU, THEY MUST LOVE YOU VERY MUCH".

SOON GRANNY WAS BACK HOME, AND, THE NEXT MORNING, WHEN SHE TOOK THE BREAD OUT TO THE BIRD TABLE, SHE ALSO GAVE THEM A BIG SLICE OF CAKE.

MUCH OF THIS STORY IS UNTRUE, BUT, YOU MUST DECIDE FOR YOURSELF, WHAT PARTS ARE TRUE.
WHO KNOWS WHAT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU LOVE HARD ENOUGH. T.D.D. 2006
