Another way of getting money out of us LOL...give us another addiction then charge us through the nose to cure us...nowadays absolutely anything you do a lot of is called an addiction??? I breathe a lot...damn, I'm addicted to oxygen...ah, what a world we're creating...desperate people trying to find ways of making a living and this new craze of addiction creation is taking off just like financial consultants did when the manufacturing industry died here and in the USA...

Yeah, I suppose the worst thing about internet addiction is even people who are house bound can access it.
I've actually found for the last couple of days of my self abstinence from the net I am getting quite bored. I never get bored!!!
Trying to fill my time with something less addictive is proving to be a little harder than I first thought.

I had a friend whose boyfriend was addicted to self-help groups.
He was in AA, NA, AlAnon, Gamblers Anonymous and Over-eaters Anonymous (despite being as thin as a rake).
He also reckoned he was a sex addict (or tart, as I call it).
The only problem he had that I could see was a desperate need for attention.
He can now be a computer addict as well. Wonderful!
Internet addiction is real, there are even rehab facilities for it. WoW has wrecked more homes than Paris Hilton
I used to be addicted to internet when it first came out. And we were on dial up back then so the bill ran incredibly high, I got in trouble many times for that. But there are some very effective addiction treatments available today.
