It was a long weekend.

Stayed with Hazel for the long weekend, Fri painting garden fence, Sat ditto, Sunday morning ditto.

We are very lucky to live where we do, as within one hours drive we have a choice of eight Country Parks, all kept by the local councils and all free.

Sunday afternoon we went to Mugdock Country Park, that is just north of Milngavie, and that is pronounced, Mulguy.

As usual, a lake,

There was also an archery dislpay, you could have a go, 3 arrows for a pound, I wanted too but there was a queue about 5 miles long, bloody kids, why can't they go to school on Sunday.

In a fenced of area the meeting of the Airedale owners association was taking place and in the large house the local artists were holding an exhibition.

It was warm and sunny, a good day, I think that we are very lucky.

the garden looks absolutely beautiful.
thanks for the pictures, mr b

Thanks for the lovely pics, Trevor...wish we had some parks close by, but all are quite a long bus ride away and never a direct route...and not parks as such...no laid out flower beds, which I love sometimes...

Those are lovely pictures, thanks for sharing those with us. We are also fortunate to live by one of the largest urban parks in Europe, steeped in history as it was used by Henry VIII as a deer park and was the place where I learned to ride my bike (and crashed a few times!)

Great pics. I love archery. Wish I could afford to take it up as a hobby.

Yes sal, I think that I would be good at it, I don't know why I think that, maybe because it looks easy, but it probably isn't.
