It's been just one of those days.

Woke up to sunshine, that's good. Enough milk for my mix of Cinnamon Grahams and Weetabix, that's good. Slipped on coming out of shower, done something to my back, that's bad. Postman delivered some mail, that's good. One letter from my insurance company, Good or Bad? Don't know yet.

It's bad. Rain water came through bedroom ceiling, insurance will cover cost of redecorating room and fixing ceiling, cause of rainwater, wear and tear, not covered.

Went to Tesco to get "messages", that's Scottish or Glaswegian for shopping, came home, beautiful day, left front door open.

Now I don't have a cat of my own, but I have three that visit me every day, Star, Bubbles and Tiger, I don't believe that is their given names, but they come when I call, or I should say, bash the top of the cat food tin with a fork and then, usually, they lay down on the hall rug.

Open fridge door, sling in bacon and butter, open wall cupboard door sling in tin of sweetcorn, sugar, etc, kick fridge door closed and trap Bubbles inside.

Switch on kettle to make a cup of tea, make a cup of tea, go to fridge for milk, open door and out shoots Bubbles plus a three quarter full jar of beetroot in sweet vinegar.

I have a stone floor in the kitchen.
