Messing about while there is nothing that I want to watch on the digital tele I came across a lot of BBC radio programmes, to be exact, eleven of them.

Fair enough, I can understand, Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio five live, I even accept, World Service, but, 1 Xtra? what’s that all about, Five Live Sport?, it’s live, shove it on Five Live, BBC 6 Music?, it’s music, shove it on 1, 2, 3, or 4.

BBC 7? God only knows, I’m just certain that it will have it’s full complement of employees

BBC Asian Network? What’s this then? I’m sure that someone somewhere said that other nationalities coming to live in this country should learn English so that they may integrate with the people of this country.

What’s next?, BBC Polish Network, BBC Bulgarian Network.

Apparently they are going to amalgamate all the stations into one new one and call it:

BBC Complete bollocks FM

I think Jack's right there...I've given up on radio nearly apart from trying to glean a bit of news from Radio 4 each day from amongst the chit chat that now passes for news...dumbing down is the name of the game...oh, and endless bloody repeats...sometimes I think I'm caught in a damned time warp doomed to go round in a yearly cycle of endless reshowing of films and progs on tv and the endless repetition of radio plays and progs as well...actually, it's really depressing...there's so little that's new and exciting anymore...human creativity in the media and entertainment seems to have taken a nose dive, and I'm not sure its hit the bottom yet :-/
