Global Warming, the truth.

post previously on blog 4/4/07

Global warming started about 25 years ago. It was about that time that the Japanese introduced the little gadget that allowed us to change channels on our television sets without getting up from the armchair, actually, I had always had one, it was called "the wife".

Today, everything that you can think of is controlled by that little gadget, the hi-fi, venetian blinds, car door locks, interior lighting in posh houses, the gates to your house, and loads of other things. Yes, The Remote.

Now it's not generally realised that, after you have pointed that little gadget at your tele, it's not just one remote that comes out, it's thousands of them. Only one is required to carry out the action that you require, question, "Where do all the other remotes go too?".

I will tell you, they go up.

Right, the world population is about 6 billion, but, only about one quarter have remotes, the average total remotes for each owner is 4, so, 6 billion remotes. Average use per day?, say, 10 times, equals 60 billion remotes. ( At this point I have to admit that my figures for the next part of the equation are slightly guesswork ), unnecessarily expended "remotes" at each use, say, 1,000, daily total "remotes", ( maths are not my strong point, well, not as strong as my scientific skills ) say, 60 thousand billion, yep, daily.

These "remotes" have now formed a layer in the stratosphere (?), well, up there somewhere, and they are the reason for Global Warming. The layer is now so thick that the heat from the earth is unable to escape, it's common sense when you really think about it, and, we could eventually be in trouble when we next try to send a rocket up to the moon, or, mars, or, somewhere.

My next action, obviously for the good of the planet, is to get scientific proof, and I will employ a couple of fellows with some sort of letters after their name to prove this theory, and also, to prove my theory that, "if your paying for the research, you get the answers that you want".

Blair and Cameron, Greenpeace, all those that are making millions out of Global Warming will jump on my band-wagon, and I will be the "savior" of the world 'till the next theory comes along.

Please don't hesitate to contact me should you require any other scientific explanation.

Blog Action Day.

I'm sorry, you are going to hate me, because I don't think that we can do anything to halt Global Warming. I believe that global warming is a fact of nature, and there is no one that has power over nature.

Of course I agree, and try, to be as kind as I can to the environment, earth is ours to look after, it's all that we have, yes, use the goods that it provides for us as sparingly as we can, as sensibly as we can, that is just common sense, but, we will not bring to a halt the warming, we will not even slow it down, what will be will be. Planets do not live for ever.

Can you imagine, 400 years ago, North of England, York, home of a vast area that produced wines from the locally grown grapes, "Oh my God, lad", ( obviously in a Yorkshire accent ), "the globe is getting colder, we had better use more petrol, fly more people around the world, build more coal fired power stations and warm it up again".

Where is the proof? Are you going to believe a small bunch of scientists, already in agreement with idea of global warming that met without any opposition scientists to put their view?

The really big lie about man-made global warming is that almost all scientists accept it. More than 4,000 scientists from 106 countries, including 72 Nobel prize winners, signed the Heidelberg Appeal (1992), calling for a rational scientific approach to environmental problems. Many senior scientists have also supported The Statement by Atmospheric Scientists on Greenhouse Warming (1992), The Leipzig Declaration (1997) and finally the Oregon Petition (1998) which received the signatures of over 19,000 scientists.

Are you going to believe an empty headed politician that leaped on to the wagon of another cause for self publicity, who has no scientific proof or training but gleaned his facts from research that had been previously carried out, and then, selected the facts that supported the cause he wished to push?

Are you going to believe the politicians that see a further reason to increase taxes without taking the blame? or those that are doing quite nicely thanks with the profits made from the gadgets that, thanks to expensive advertising, we are informed will solve the problem.

Yes, there is no doubt that at the moment we are experiencing Global Warming, I accept that, but, I don't accept the answers that we are being given by those that are using the event to their own ends.

On google you can find 4,140,000 "facts" about Global warming, try these,

Without the Greenhouse Effect there would be no life on Earth.

Computer models of the climate are worthless, as they are based on many assumptions about interactions between climate factors that are still unknown to science. They are generally unstable and chaotic, giving a wide variety of answers depending on the input assumptions.

Greenland got its name from the verdant pastures that attracted the Norse settlers under Eric the Red in 986. They carried on their normal way of life (based on cattle, grain, hay and herring) for 300 years until the Little Ice Age, when they were driven off by the encroaching ice and the Inuit took over. The ice and the Inuit are still there.

Why not believe these facts? because no one is making money out of "pushing" them.

Should you still believe that our way of modern life causes the problem. if this little dot on the map called the United Kingdom were to go back to the days of the horse and cart, oil lamps, etc etc, it would have absolutely no effect on the global warming problem as a percentage of the world output of emissions.
