C'mon ladies, help us fellas.

Sounds like I am in the front line in Afganistan with the bangs from the fireworks, but reminds me of the days when three sons would stare out of the window, waiting for me to come home from work to light our box of fireworks.

Been a busy day, drove 70 miles to buy an item from an antiques place, and that's where the title of this post comes from.

Last Wednesday Hazel and I went for our normal drive about and discovered this antique place, whilst wandering around she came across this item that she liked, the owner opened up the show case and Haze handled it and admired it, "I'll think about it, it's a bit more than I want to pay", she said.

I decided that I would buy it for her birthday, it's next Monday, but I didn't want her to know, she thinks that I am getting the latest perfume by Guerlain for her, would she leave my side and give me a chance, would she hell, so that's why I made the journey today.

My letter was selected as the "Letter of the day" in the Scottish Sunday Express and I have won a bottle of whisky, it hasn't arrived yet but when it does I will invite all my friends to a virtual drink.

You know what, if I can go into the garden and discover so many summer flowers still blooming in November, and, mind, in Scotland, I have no complaints,

I am well aware that many people think that they can change things by their actions, and that's not a bad thing, any help to look after our planet is good, but, they will not alter the fact that the natural effect of changes in the worlds temperature is happening and will continue to happen, we are unable to know what will be the result in the far off future.

For now, lets not try to beat it, let us try to live with it, accept it, work with it. Even the fanatics, and those using the event to make money, can't prove that mankind has caused it, and of course, the others can't prove that they havn't speeded up the event.

Simple changes are required, on flood plains, if we must build, put the house on stilts, nothing new there and our technology gives us better methods than those tribes that lived beside the waters a thousand years ago, they understood nature.
