You know what, if I can go into the garden and discover so many summer flowers still blooming in November, and, mind, in Scotland, I have no complaints,
I am well aware that many people think that they can change things by their actions, and that's not a bad thing, any help to look after our planet is good, but, they will not alter the fact that the natural effect of changes in the worlds temperature is happening and will continue to happen, we are unable to know what will be the result in the far off future.
For now, lets not try to beat it, let us try to live with it, accept it, work with it. Even the fanatics, and those using the event to make money, can't prove that mankind has caused it, and of course, the others can't prove that they havn't speeded up the event.
Simple changes are required, on flood plains, if we must build, put the house on stilts, nothing new there and our technology gives us better methods than those tribes that lived beside the waters a thousand years ago, they understood nature.

Good sentiments Joe. Sieze the day you never know when it will be your last. As far as global warming goes, next year we will all be returning to the ice age, or some other disaster. Mother Earth will keep on going the way she always had, making changes to suit herself, no amount of scaremongering and doomladen prophesies will make any difference. If you live in a wet country you would be crying out for a little more warming sunshine, in a dry country a little more rain. Why can't humans be satisfied with what they have got and learn to make the most of it? Me? I'm just glad to still be here and whatever the weather I hope to stay around for a lot longer.
