I have been aware of it for years, but not being one to seek fame I completely avoid it - To boast is to expose one's weaknesses.

Well, I'm a new kid on the block, not completed my 12 months yet, so it's a first for me, you will agree that you don't get many firsts when you get to my age .
They have entertained me, given me advice, read my rants, sympathised, there are some nice people out there and I am happy to give them the credit with a vote.
Yes, in the spirit of "Blogland" they will crow about it for a while and we, their friends, will slap them down in the nicest way, were friends, and that's how friends work.
At the end of the day it means nothing. There must be thousands of blogs that we will never read, we will never take them into consideration when we vote.
