About 25 years would be good.

A room for the washing machine, spin dryer, fridge/freezer, to empty the kitchen.

Nearly, same as many boys, choice was a train driver, did become a railway signalman but gave it up to sing, always wanted to sing, got somewhere but not good enough. At thirty I wanted to retire, achieved that.
