Where to now Gordon?

by joebangles @ 04/05/2008 - 07:31:06

Gordon Brown, you are a loser, in two years or whenever you have to call a general election, your gone.

Oh what an opportunity you know have Gordon. Two years to change the face of British politics, grab this chance, the ride may be bumpy but it could also be a great ride.

Back to basics Gordon, clear the decks, get rid of those ad visors that you have, their advice has very obviously been useless, kick out the present cabinet who's only interest appears to be self interest and replace them with young energetic members that can grab their departments by the scruff of the neck and shake out all of the old dead wood, tell them what you want and leave them to get on with it, working in the interests of the majority of the electorate.

Be the figurehead Gordon, you are not happy or suitable for the lime light, you have a great deal of experience that you can offer to your new department heads. Guide them, hold their hand, oversee what they are doing, caution them when required, but let them get on with it.

Who knows what will happen, you still may lose the next election, no change there, but, well, just who knows.

Hi Col, i am a Tory, yep, I think that he has been a disaster, I want rid of him, but he will stick it out to the very end, he has nowhere else to go.

Hi ranfuchs, I have no time at all for Gordon Brown but he will stick it out till the bitter end, he has no alternative, but, just maybe, with nothing to lose he should go for it.

I am not political..What has happened in the last few months is normal and healthy. remember the conservatives were treated thus 10 years ago and are recovering. In another ten they will take a beating.Politics for the ordinary man in the street who understands little of the science of economics and politics is emotion, little more. The conservatives have gained little at the moment only votes of people who are discontented with their party.two months may make a great difference. If they can capitalise on their current luck..then good luck to them.Changes in government, in my long experience make little difference in the long term. There is not one government since the 1950 which has not made the most stupendous errors of judgement all based on politics. However we need change..it does little harm and at times does some good.

Can't disagree with you Col, many votes cast were a vote against the Labour party, as you say, the three main party's are much of a muchness, long gone are the extremes to the right and left and this has moved everyone to the centre, the votes that are required to win an election.

My point remains, go for it Gordon, you have nothing to lose.
